Could Bitcoin Price Surge After Halving? Potential for $500k by 2025

Bitcoin’s price could surge to over $500,000 per coin by October 2025, according to billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya. He bases this prediction on historical trends and the impact of Bitcoin halving events, which occur every four years. Palihapitiya notes that Bitcoin typically experiences a correction period followed by a significant price increase within 6 to 18 months after each halving. Previous halvings resulted in a 45x surge after the first, a 28x surge after the second, and an 8x surge after the third. If Bitcoin follows a similar pattern in the next cycle, Palihapitiya believes it could reach $500,000 by 2025. The recent introduction of Bitcoin ETFs in major financial markets and growing institutional interest also indicate a positive outlook for Bitcoin’s price. However, it is important to remain cautious as achieving the same percentage gains in the future will require larger investments. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $68,988 with a modest 1.3% rise in the past day.
