Bitcoin reacts to BidenTrump debate by prices shifting Altcoins move into positive territory

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump engaged in a fiery clash during their inaugural 2024 presidential debate today. Delving into profound topics such as abortion policies, grappling with inflation, and addressing global tensions in Ukraine and Gaza, the debate took a dramatic turn as both sides launched vehement accusations.

Despite the intense exchanges, conspicuously absent from the discourse were any mentions of cryptocurrency or Bitcoin, much to the dismay of eager enthusiasts anticipating a nod towards these burgeoning financial realms. Nevertheless, to the surprise of many, the financial markets painted a positive picture with Bitcoin and numerous altcoins charting into the green territory.

Bitcoin, making strides to reclaim levels above $62,000, experienced a notable surge, briefly exceeding this threshold. Meanwhile, altcoins like Solana saw significant gains, recording over a seven percent increase. Avalanche and Polkadot mirrored similar successes, with Kaspa notably surging by more than 24 percent over the past 24 hours. Ethereum also showed upward momentum, trading close to the $3,500 mark.

The absence of cryptocurrency discussions during the debate did not deter social media platforms from buzzing with opinions and reactions. Analysts are already pondering the future implications, with voices like Satoshi Flipper speculating on potential market impacts of a Trump victory, predicting soaring values for the S&P 500 and Bitcoin. Conversely, MAGA (Trump) coin experienced a notable decline of more than 14 percent within the same timeframe.

For those keen on cryptocurrency developments, the debate’s neglect of these topics raised questions and stirred a wide array of responses across various online platforms. As the political and financial landscapes continue to evolve, the implications of these discussions—or lack thereof—remain subject to ongoing scrutiny and speculation.
